EMEA - EMANES Webinar "The Economic Consequences of the Iran War for MENA and Africa"

The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association - EMEA and the EU-Mediterranean and African Network for Economic Studies-EMANES, in collaboration with SecondMuse, will convene the webinar “The Economic Consequences of the Iran War for MENA and Africa: Geoeconomic Shocks, Regional Spillovers, and Pathways to Reconstruction” on 3 September 2026 at 16:00 CET, online via Zoom. The webinar will examine the conflict’s impact on energy and commodity markets, maritime trade, supply chains, inflation, fiscal sustainability and investment, as well as its wider implications for MENA and African economies and the prospects for regional recovery and reconstruction. #EMEA and #SecondMuse have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in research, policy dialogue, capacity building and joint initiatives supporting inclusive and sustainable development
