In the Gospel of the Annunciation, Mary hears an extraordinary invitation from God. Her life is about to change completely. She does not know everything that lies ahead, yet she responds with faith: “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.” Mary teaches us what it means to be a true servant of God. She did not demand to know every detail. She did not ask for guarantees. She trusted God and surrendered herself to His plan. On the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, we are invited to look at Mary not merely as someone we honour, but as someone we can imitate. Like Mary, we too are called to say yes to God even when we do not understand everything. Her life challenges us to ask: 🙏 Am I willing to serve God in my daily life? 🙏 Do I trust God when His plans are different from mine? 🙏 Can I say yes to God even when the future is uncertain? 🙏 Am I ready to place my life in God's hands? The Rosary helps us learn this spirit of Mary. As we pray it, we walk with her through the mysteries of Christ and learn from her faith, humility and obedience. May Mary, the Handmaid of the Lord, teach us to trust God's word, surrender our lives to Him and faithfully say yes to His call.
