https://forum.msts.cz/threads/6644/pa... "I have released a new implementation of track cant (superelevation) exactly as I envisioned it: Original track shape: Curved track is not replaced by a procedurally generated version; instead, the original track shape from the route (ballast, sleepers, rails) is tilted. It looks exactly as it does in the editor and does not suffer from deformation. Smooth transitions: There is no abrupt step between canted and straight track. The cant rises and falls smoothly—this applies to dynamic tracks and shapes defined outside of TSECTION.DAT as well. Ballast-to-terrain interface: The edges of the ballast bed taper down toward the terrain, ensuring they do not "float" in mid-air. Any visible step along the shared edge of the ballast on double-track shapes has been smoothed out. Train behavior: Rolling stock tilts around the inner rail, accurately reflecting the track's cant. Sections rendered as straight track are excluded from the cant calculation, meaning the train does not tilt while traversing them. Exceptions (no tilting): Turnouts, shapes lacking cant data, level crossings, and station platforms. Adjacent track sections transition smoothly to align with these elements. Cant based on speed limits: The degree of cant for each curve is calculated using the speed limits found in the route database, rather than relying on a single speed value for the entire route. If no specific speed limit is found, the speed defined in the .trk file is used. Cab view: The 2D cab view now tilts the world in the same way the vehicle body does. Previously, it also subtracted an additional tilt component specific to the curve. Settings: Cant options are located in the Simulation menu, with a default level of 15 (150 mm) and a minimum length of 50 m. There may still be some minor issues, but it works and adds value to both the tracks and the driving simulation." https://pkor.trainsim.pl/trasa-polnoc...
