It was the first time the Fryderyk Festival's classical gala was held at the NFM. The program pairs one of Chopin's most serene openings with one of his most extroverted dances. The Andante spianato is a calm, nocturne-like song over a gently rocking accompaniment. It leads, after a fanfare, into the sparkling Polonaise Chopin wrote in his early twenties. 🎹 Tianyao Lyu, piano 🎼 Fryderyk Chopin – Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante, Op. 22 📍 National Forum of Music, Wrocław, 24 April 2026 #TianyaoLyu #Chopin #Fryderyki2026 #ChopinCompetition
