thestrummingsoul - Front Porch Light (Official Anime Music Video)

Front Porch Light by thestrummingsoul One night, one porch. She waited outside. He was waiting too. 💛 Tell me about a time you waited for someone, and they were waiting for you too. Official music video by thestrummingsoul. LYRICS [Verse 1] I counted your footsteps On the front porch boards Knew your jacket smell Before you reached the door Your text stayed glowing Like a prayer on hold I held my heart up Then let it fold [Pre-Chorus] I wore your silence Like a second skin Tried not to cry Tried not to give in The clock kept turning But I stayed right there With one hand on hope And one hand in the air [Chorus] I was waiting for you Waiting for you Baby, I was waiting For you, for you You were waiting too Waiting for me Standing in the dark Where I couldn't see [Verse 2] I almost walked away At the edge of night The rain on my sleeves Turned my face to white Then the porch light flicked And the truth came through You weren't late at all You were there for me too [Pre-Chorus] All my tears were early All my fear was old I was chasing shadows You were brave and cold You kept your promise In the quiet air I was learning love You were already there [Bridge] And it hit me slow Like a wave at dawn You had been near me The whole night long I missed your patience I missed your sign You were on my side The whole time [Final Chorus] I was waiting for you Waiting for you Baby, I was waiting For you, for you You were waiting too Waiting for me Now I fall in your arms Finally, finally #frontporchlight #lovesong #originalsong #musicvideo #thestrummingsoul
