He has established His Anointed One upon Tsiyon, and every earthly kingdom will eventually answer to Him. Psalm 2 also confronts the rebellion within us. It is easy to condemn the pride of governments while protecting a private throne in our own hearts. Every time we place our feelings above Yahweh’s instruction, we join the same resistance described in this Psalm.
