PCLinuxOS https://www.pclinuxos.com/ Installing: https://pclinuxoshelp.com/index.php/I... Updating: https://pclinuxoshelp.com/index.php/U... The apt-get command is used to access the package management system. You may be familiar with this command from Debian based distributions and it works in a similar (but not exactly the same) way on PCLinuxOS. First we use update to get the current package list and only if that is successful then use dist-upgrade to perform the actual updating. I renewed my fascination with PCLinuxOS. From the very first install (Oct. 2020) I knew that PCLinuxOS was and is special. The system basics are easy and very familiar to Debian users with apt-get commands. All the (mine) essential software that I require is available without jumping through hoops to get there. Flatpaks are also available. In my first coverage of PCLinuxOS I knew that it was worthy of real hardware installation and actually said I had planned to give it a go. Life got in the way and the next thing I know it's 'next year'. So...now I will be installing it on the HP_Pro, an older machine that I think PCLinuxOS will run on just fine. From there I will check out some basic stuff that I couldn't try in a VM. Like printing/scanning, hooking up accessories like webCam, microphone, etc... I can easily say at this point PCLinuxOS is definitely worth an in debt look at. Sooo, look for an update (said with confidence that PCLinuxOS will be worthy of an update). So, look for the update coming soon. of coarse 'soon' is a relative term. Stay tuned in, turned on & drop out. LOL Thanks for watching! Comments are welcomed here so leave yours. What, if anything, did I not cover that you have a question about? A point I didn't make or just missed. Still Archin' On with my buddies (FBSD, Void Linux) & now I may have a new homegrown new buddy. Time will tell. (In my check in video recently posted I mention I have a surprise in the works. I will be revealing that very very soon. So be looking for that. I must say that I actually surprised myself and some of you may be surprised as well. So stay tuned and be looking for a video that may seem 'out of place' or 'character' for me. I'm pretty sure every one will definitely be surprised). Dennis
