Sci-Fi Classic Review: SON OF KONG (1933)

Rushed into theaters the same year as its predecessor, this sequel to King Kong takes a more character-driven and comedic approach, lacking the same scale and spectacle. Does it deserve its reputation as one of the worst big budget sequels ever produced, or can it be redeemed with a fresh perspective? If you're looking for a "review" in the traditional sense, then let me just say I like this movie. This video, however, is a "review" in the literal sense (using the Miriam-Webster definition "a retrospective view or survey"), in that I'm going over the history of the film and its place in sci-fi cinema history.
