Our beautiful Chikmagalur to Bangalore road trip in Mahindra Thar Roxx! From a peaceful morning at a pet-friendly homestay nestled in coffee estates to mist-covered mountain roads and the stunning Shettihalli Rosary Church, this one-day weekend getaway turned into an unforgettable journey. In our previous vlog, we drove from Bangalore to Chikmagalur and checked into Villa Vasa Homestay in Joladalu, a lovely pet-friendly stay surrounded by lush greenery and coffee estates. We start this vlog with beautiful drone shots of the homestay, followed by a peaceful morning walk around the picturesque man-made lake nearby. Villa Vasa is a wonderful option for pet parents visiting Chikmagalur, with several resident dogs, our pet dog Eliz had so much fun , she was unleashed and enjoyed to the fullest ! After checking out, we continued our return journey towards Bangalore through some incredibly scenic roads. Twisty roads, rolling hills covered in dense mist, lush greenery and pleasant weather made the drive in our Mahindra Thar Roxx truly enjoyable. Our journey took an unexpected but memorable turn when we decided to visit Shettihalli Rosary Church near Hassan, Karnataka. Also popularly known as the Submerged Church or Floating Church, this historic church was built by French missionaries. Surrounded by water, its beautiful architecture and peaceful setting made it a perfect spot for drone photography and a relaxing break. After spending some time at the church, we resumed our drive and stopped at Empire Restaurant for lunch. Near Kunigal, Google Maps suggested a detour due to traffic, which led us through another beautiful stretch of countryside and past Kanva Reservoir before connecting us back to the Mysore Expressway. The rain welcomed us on the final stretch, and after a full day of scenic driving, exploration and family time, we finally reached Bangalore at around 9:45 PM.
