How to hand wash silk: 1.) Fill a sink or basin with lukewarm water. 2.) Pour recommended amount of hand cleaning detergent (we like Tide, Woolite, and Soak) into the sink and mix. 3.) Place garment into the sink and immerse. 4.) Agitate the garment by pressing up and down on it while it is completely submerged. This gets your detergent and water solution deep into the garment fibers. 5.) Let the garment sit in the soapy water for 10 minutes. 6.) Remove garment from basin and squeeze lightly. DO NOT WRING; this can harm a delicate garment. 8.) Lay garment on a clean light colored towel and roll together. 9.) Once excess water has been removed through the towel rolling method, let the garment air dry by laying flat on a clean towel. Do not tumble dry! 10.) Steam any wrinkles once garment is done drying.
