Timecodes below. These are the menus of all those Special Edition discs which were released in my area (Finland). DVD9 discs - all at least Region 2, some also dual coded to be Region 4 (PAL). Your Special Edition may differ from mine. The discs I have were released in general Europe area and a few also in UK/Australia. Do note that I'm only showing the English menus here. Also, see those discs where the ticker is at English by default and not German? Those discs utilize the language of the DVD-player itself to place the default selection to. I wonder why only a handful of these were made to use it, those all which default to German do so no matter what. Also in a few of those I seem to hit PLAY before being done with all the options - no, it's the disc being programmed to go to places automagically after the loop is done once. Also as TSWLM goes completely silent (of which VLC wouldn't like, it would loop some previously heard audio) I take the opportunity to just advance - twice. Then. The Goldfinger and The World Is Not Enough we got don't have the PlayStation game (TND/TWINE) trailers UK/AU versions have. Quite annoying. Otherwise language options methinks are the only other differences. Unlike all the others, you don't need to ACTIVATE Die Another Day though, it goes eventually by itself past that, and that's what I also let it do here. All the menu loops are seen here, that's why it may seem to take a while for stuff to happen (yes, that ACTIVATE loop with LALD really is that long). Still, could do without the need to hit ACTIVATE at all though. TND is also better here than Region 1 in the sense that it only enters the 2nd loop only when you come back to main from elsewhere - Region 1 enters the 2nd loop straight after the first one is done. Octopussy opens differently than the vanilla disc released after this SE. Also note how DAD is split to 36 chapters here, Ultimate Edition has 32 chapters. I've sprinkled in a few things you don't normally see at the end of this vidya. You better enjoy, if this even stays at the Tube. And no, those two clips at the end are different videos. Anomalies in video? Blame the Windows Media Player of Windows 7. Source material originally 576p in 16:9 (stretched to 1024x576 from 720x576). Video you're seeing is mostly actual DVD playback (those inserts before each menu are actually taken from after the movie), captured. Don't sue me MGM ples, I own the discs I'm showing off. Menu quickjump: 0:00 - Dr. No 3:31 - From Russia With Love 7:12 - Goldfinger 10:50 - Thunderball 14:32 - You Only Live Twice 18:36 - On Her Majesty's Secret Service 21:48 - Diamonds Are Forever 26:23 - Live And Let Die 32:01 - The Man With The Golden Gun 36:40 - The Spy Who Loved Me 41:46 - Moonraker 45:39 - For Your Eyes Only 50:15 - Octopussy 54:13 - A View To A Kill 58:21 - The Living Daylights 1:01:40 - Licence To Kill 1:04:31 - GoldenEye 1:06:58 - Tomorrow Never Dies 1:11:10 - The World Is Not Enough 1:15:06 - Die Another Day - Disc 1 1:22:16 - Die Another Day - Disc 2 1:25:22 - Another region disc opening left in as unusedness? Navigate to Title 6 manually if you have the same disc(s) as I do (unless it somehow plays with certain DVD player settings but I didn't manage that) - that MGM logo which plays afterwards is part of the normal disc opening (Title 2) and would then lead to language selection. 1:26:31 - SPRUCE TECHNOLOGIES - hidden image in many of these discs.
