What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the 2001 Lexus LS: About a decade ago Lexus debuted their flagship sedan the Lexus LS. So far it's been a hit and for 2001 the Lexus LS enters a new generation making a complete departure from the last 2 generation styling cues. It's now more modern and technologically advanced with a very intuitive touch screen navigation system and a rich looking cabin with rich materials. The leather feels like you will soak into it and that's a great thing as they are very soft and rich looking as well. Power in the LS comes from a powerful 4.3 L made into a 5-Speed Automatic, this car gets and go's very quick and you can tell Lexus added much sound dampening inside the cabin as this car makes a perfect highway cruiser. With all of this in mind the LS comes at a bargain price compared to the rest of the German competitors as a base LS will run at about $55,000. Options include the Navigation and more luxury features like heated rear seats. We love the driving dynamics of the A8 and the 7 Series, but anybody who's looking for a highway cruiser and comfortable ride go with the LS.
