Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has omitted Victor Osimhen and Maduka Okoye from Nigeria's 24-man squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Tanzania. Francis Uzoho returns to the squad, while midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi receives his first senior national team invitation. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Alhassan Yusuf, Samson Tijani and Mubarak Suleiman are also included, with captain Wilfred Ndidi retaining his place as Raphael Onyedika and Frank Onyeka miss out. Nigeria hosts Tanzania in Uyo on November 13, ahead of the return fixture on November 17, with the Super Eagles trailing Guinea-Bissau by three points in Group L.
