The Deathbringer vs The Oathbreaker, thematically one of the coolest fights in the game. There are major spoilers in this video. The fight itself is only 15 minutes long, but I included all dialog because it's my two favorite scenes in the whole game. 0:00 dialog 3:55 transformation 4:15 fight begins 15:13 setup to kill Orin 19:50 1700 damage Lockadin 20:35 the best scene in the game Disclaimer: This was done on a modded playthrough where all enemies (and especially bosses) are significantly stronger. Some QOL aspects of the game that make it too easy, i.e. lvl 6 spells, long rest spam and pick pocketing have been nerfed/rebalanced. Hence the "Nightmare" difficulty. This fight has been NERFED and is now easier(it was already easy). The pre-nerf mod files are still available if you want. This video is also not using the standalone "nightmare difficulty mod". That is something else entirely. This fight is really easy if you prepare accordingly. The additional enemies can be mostly ignored if you can bait out their stun, and have high enough AC to routinely dodge their hits. Danse Macabre or any summoner can just plant enemies in their face, and it will be fine. Also, none of the enemies have STR. Just telekinesis/throw the dangerous reapers into the abyss. Orin's DPR is (I think) the highest of any enemy in the game, if she just uses multiattack and slay. The main problem is, her bloodthirst passive basically randomizes her targeting AI. You have no choice but to just tank her damage and heal through it. If you try and tank her without blade ward, there is no character in the game that can survive one turn, because she will force-impose slashing vulnerability and hit for like 60+ damage per slay. Make sure you maintain it at all times. You just need to heal through this - it's doable. You need to do this fight in stages: first clear her legendary resistance, then clear her unstoppable for one turn, CC her, get her to just over half HP, and then burst her down. She has 30 STR, 30 DEX, and 30 WIS. Her ADV FS value is also +6 or +8 (cant remember), so she will have well over +20 to each of those rolls. Just go for a CON or INT one, way more reliable. Orin needs to be either killed or controlled the second she hits half HP; she has two abilities she will use as soon as she crosses the threshold. First of all, she will use her buffed action "Let the Slaughter Begin", and barring a Paladin, you will fail the roll. She'll usually get ~36 AC(assuming you use SS) with it, and will become pretty close to untouchable for martials. If you play on pre-nerf, she also has a bonus action called "Crimson Fury" which will treat any bleeding target as vulnerable to slashing damage. If both go off, and she is not controlled, the fight is over. Easiest way is to setup for a burst window when she is at around 50-60% HP, and have a high burst character like Lockadin or SSB dump their burst. Both can easily clear the required 1600 damage, especially since you can use Paralysis here. I had a near perfect setup in this video, and could have probably done around 2500 with my Lockadin burst(had BA smite and 1 extra smite left). Just goes to show - it's an easy fight once you know what to expect. Main mods used: Immersive AI Lethal AI Enemies Enhanced Stronger Bosses Tactician Plus I use a few other rebalance and cosmetic mods but the 5 above are the ones you need to get the same difficulty. Music used: The Ruined King - ‪@Jhinsorchestra4444‬ The Bloodharbor Ripper - ‪@Jhinsorchestra4444‬ Orin's Theme - ‪@borislav_slavov‬ Vlaakith's Speech - ‪@borislav_slavov‬ I do not claim ownership over any of this music and will not be monetizing this video.
