With exclusive interviews with resident Daniel Sroka, plaintiffs' attorney Solomon Radner, and plaintiffs Sheldon Norcross and Steven Allen.
According to a new federal lawsuit, police in American Fork, Utah, raided a home over a LEGO dispute, then defended it at a press conference. Nobody was charged with anything. Now four people have filed a 19-count civil rights lawsuit, and it says the chief told one resident something very different in private: the detention was really an arrest, and "the search warrant affidavit presents one of the biggest places where we screwed up." In this video I compare the chief's public claims with the bodycam and walk through what the complaint alleges.
Case: Norcross v. City of American Fork, No. 2:26-cv-01008-RJS (D. Utah), complaint filed Oct. 14, 2026.
