A Nice Day at South Plainfield, NJ with NS 4004 9/4/26

Last Friday, I decided to head over to South Plainfield to see the action on the Lehigh Line. I stayed for just about 9 hours and saw quite a bit of action in the afternoon, but the morning was terrible as there was nothing. My first train was a late 22X that didn’t come until 1:15 in the afternoon. It also had a UP trailing. I saw 256 with 4004 that was nice to see. I also saw K76 with a solo AC44 leading longhood forward that was cool to see as well! There are also CSX grain trains G110 and G111 that have started temporarily running through here. There was a G110 combined with M410 that I was hoping to see, but I unfortunately didn’t as it came late after I left. I do hope to see one of the rerouted grain trains soon.
