Before Vesuvius destroyed Pompeii, it gave the city one perfectly ordinary day. Bread came out of ovens, water ran through the public baths, and neighbors argued over election slogans painted on the walls. Then the earth opened — and the routine of an entire city was sealed beneath volcanic ash. This full-length animation reconstructs the final twenty-four hours of Pompeii, bringing its last day back to life through archaeology, geology, and the words of a young eyewitness who watched the sky change from across the Bay of Naples.
