This week I built a tracking board from a canvas, some paper, and Post-its, and put my first real numbers on it. The book is ready; I'm publishing soon, and the books sold line still says 0. On the board this week: my goals, 12 hours spent, 50 subscribers, about 120 dollars on test prints, and a plan for the week ahead. The book is Pawsome Memories, a dog journal by Nadia North, published by my own Paw Print Press. Chapters Can I actually sell a thousand books as a side hustle? I am documenting the reality of the process to reach this goal. In this episode, I continue my mission to build a sustainable project from the ground up. I explain the specific hours per week I am dedicating to this work and share the book I am currently writing. To bridge the gap between my writing and my readers, I have integrated a QR code that links directly to my website. Tracking time effectively remains one of the biggest challenges I encounter while managing this creative business. I am testing different methods to maintain consistency and will be transparent about the practical steps involved in my self-publishing experiment. If you are curious about the book writing process or want to follow my progress as I scale this effort, subscribe for weekly updates on my journey. What is your biggest struggle when trying to manage your time for a new project? My numbers, as I book them, as far as the platform I publish through lets me share them.
