Wilco - I Might - Lincoln Hall - Chicago, IL - December 18, 2011

Wilco did something wonderful back in 2011 in Chicago called the "Incredible Shrinking Tour". I was fortunate to attend two of these great shows (Metro and Lincoln Hall). This was an amazing night of music while hanging out with one of my very best friends "The Bear" who now lives in L.A. Fred Armisen (Ex-SNL comedian and current drummer for Seth Meyers) opened the show with a hilarious skit doing a bunch of really funny rock 'n roll lead singer impressions. At first I wasn't sure why he was part of the show, but I guess he used to work part-time at the bar next door to Lincoln Hall back in the 90's while he played drums down the street for Blue Man Group. I assume he was back in town as a Chicago guy and is probably friends with the band. I shot this particular video of "I Might" from the balcony on the last night of the tour. It was certainly one of the finest jams of the night being played from a tiny stage that felt like being in your living room. If you haven't seen a show at Lincoln Hall, definitely try to. It's an amazing little theater with some of the best acoustics Chicago has to offer. Hope you enjoy.
