#Ragged Robin is an international Border Morris Side.
This border dance called the Prescot Clock Dance remembers a time when the village of Prescot in Lancashire used to be the centre of the world's watch and clock making industry.
Its figures such as:
Winding up and winding down, Little cogs, Flywheel, Grand Chain are all important mechanisms in clocks.
The dance itself was written by local Morris dancers Lyn Goodkin and Sally Edmondson and Sally wrote the music.
It was first performed by Lancashire Morris team Mucky Mountains.
It has since been performed all over the world by Ragged Robin Morris International who each year go and dance abroad. Their first gig was in Alaska and since then they have been to Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Their European journeys have seen them perform in France, Germany, Holland and Poland.
