I Thought I Was Saved… Until God Exposed My Heart!

I thought I was saved. I believed in Jesus Christ. I knew He was Lord. I considered myself a good person. I worked hard, helped my family, built businesses, owned homes, gave to others, and thought I was doing pretty good. But God showed me something that shook me: knowing about Jesus is not the same as truly surrendering your life to Him. In this Christian testimony, I share an unexpected encounter with a young man at Lowe's that turned into a conversation about Jesus, salvation, obedience, and what it really means to follow Christ. I also share what happened while I was driving home one night when God brought me face-to-face with the reality of my former life and how differently things could have ended if He had not given me the time to repent and surrender to Him. We also look at the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19–31 and an important truth: money, success, accomplishments and good deeds cannot save your soul. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. This isn't about being perfect. It's about repentance, surrender, obedience, and truly knowing Jesus Christ for yourself. If God is dealing with your heart, don't assume you have tomorrow.
