Microsoft shipped CRM 1.0 in 2003 and CRM 3.0 in 2005. There is no 2.0. That turned out to be the pattern for the next twenty years: same engine, new name.
This is the history of what people still call "Dynamics CE": Microsoft CRM, Dynamics CRM, Dynamics 365, Customer Engagement, Common Data Service and Dataverse. In order, with what actually changed under each rename: custom entities and xRM in 2005, solutions in 2011, the Web API, the Unified Interface, and why the online "Customer Engagement" plan stopped existing in October 2019 while everyone kept saying CE anyway.
A note on licensing: it changed with almost every rename in here and it is still changing. Check the current licensing guide or ask a partner. No prices in this video.
