Education and the Workforce Pipeline for STEM Students in Utah

In this webinar, UDRC Sr. Research Scientist Karen Tao presents the main findings from the latest study examining the education and workforce pathways of STEM students in Utah. Using data from nearly 250,000 students enrolled in Utah's public colleges and universities between 2012 and 2020, researchers tracked who entered STEM fields, who completed degrees, and how those students fared in the workforce after college. The findings reveal both encouraging progress and persistent challenges in Utah's STEM pipeline.
