Śoka-samāpti-mantra ( The River of the World)

दुःखं जगतो नदी। DUḤ-khaṃ ja-GA-to na-DĪ. न तव, न मम। NA ta-va, NA ma-MA. मानवतायाः दुःखमिदम्। mā-na-va-TĀ-yāḥ DUḤ-kha-mi-DAM. यदा सम्यगवगम्यते। ya-DĀ sam-ya-ga-va-GAM-ya-te. तदा तस्यान्तः पूर्वमेवास्ति। ta-DĀ tas-yān-TAḤ pūr-va-ME-vās-ti. दुःखं जगतो नदी। Sorrow is the river of the world. न तव। न मम। Not yours. Not mine. मानवतायाः दुःखम्। Humanity's sorrow. यदा सम्यग् दृश्यते, When it is truly seen, तदन्तः पूर्वमेव। its ending is already there.
