Finding God in Your Hidden Struggles

What happens when we finally bring the parts of our lives we’ve been hiding into the light? On this episode of Mondays with Coach Rice / Casting the Net, I sit down with Wendy Terry, President of Outpost Ministries, for an open conversation about faith, identity, relational brokenness, prayer, healing, and the courage it takes to be honest about the things happening inside of us. One statement from our conversation stayed with me: anything hidden can’t be healed. Wendy shares how Outpost Ministries walks alongside people seeking greater wholeness while encouraging them to deepen their relationship with God, listen for His voice, and address difficult areas of their lives in supportive community. We also talk about the importance of knowing when professional therapeutic support may be needed alongside spiritual care. This conversation goes beyond appearances. We talk about the masks people wear, the fear of being truly known, the importance of safe community, and what can happen when we become willing to have the difficult conversations. As I shared during our conversation, hiding can keep us in bondage. Healing requires us to become willing to acknowledge what is there, bring it into the light, and seek the right support.
