Sable Island National Park Reserve is home to hundreds of wild horses who forage on the plants on the island.
A unique study by Parks Canada and the Sable Island Institute uses fenced exclosures to study how wild horses influence the dune ecosystems of Sable Island, a remote vegetated sandbar off the coast of Nova Scotia.
Learn about the Fences in the Sand study and the unique ecosystem of Sable Island in this four-part video series.
