I tried to preorder the new iPhone Duo for launch-day pickup… and failed. So I camped outside the Apple Store starting at 1:30 AM to get one! Was it worth it? 📱 Like many of you, I was ready at 8 AM Eastern with my cart loaded and refreshing the Apple website. Instead, I got stuck on the infamous “Magic is happening” loading screen. After finally getting through, my delivery date had been pushed all the way to December 15–21, with no in-store pickup options available. Rather than wait nearly two months, I decided to take my chances on launch day, October 23. I arrived at the Apple Store at 1:30 AM, ended up 14th in line, and finally got my hands on the new iPhone Duo when the doors opened at 8 AM!
