What is it actually like to race for 24 hours at Murray Bridge? In this video, we spend time with the Norwood International High School Pedal Prix team during the 2026 Murray Bridge 24 Hour Race — talking to students, parents, former students, volunteers and the team manager about racing, the school club and what keeps people coming back year after year.
In 2026, Norwood International High School brought five teams to the Murray Bridge Pedal Prix, with strong results across the field and senior teams making it through to the shootout.
But the race isn't just about what happens on the track. Behind every rider is a much bigger group of people — mechanics, parents, volunteers, team managers, first aiders and people looking after food and everything else needed to keep the teams going for 24 hours.
We hear from:
Ben O'Connell — NIHS Team Manager
Rayhan Witford — former student, rider and volunteer
Hilary & Colin Sweeney — parents, riders and volunteers
Jovan Tisma — Year 7 student and rider
Julissa Aspinall — Year 12 student and rider
Celina Weltz — international exchange student and rider from Germany
They talk about their experiences with Pedal Prix, what it is like to race at Murray Bridge, the atmosphere around the track, the results, and the people who make the club what it is.
For some, Pedal Prix has been part of their school life for years. For others, like Celina, it is a completely new experience. And for former students such as Rayhan, leaving school doesn't necessarily mean leaving the team.
This is Norwood International High School at the Pedal Prix Murray Bridge 24 Hour Race 2026 — from the riders on the track to the people working behind the scenes.
