Joplin Storm Passes Pierce City, Missouri, May 22, 2011

Footage shot off my back porch in Pierce City, Missouri. A few minutes into the video, my wife and I shut ourselves in the basement. This is the same storm system that spawned the tornado that destroyed much of Joplin on Sunday, May 22nd. Pierce City is located about 45 miles east southeast of Joplin. You may recall that much of our town was taken by a tornado on May 4, 2003. Check out my other videos for the aftermath of that tornado.
