SPICMACAY CMU and Pitt Sangeet are very pleased to share the videos from Adhayana: A Lec-Dem Series. We were extremely fortunate to host two revered and esteemed artists and teachers from India, Dr. K.N Renganatha Sharma, and Shri A.S Murali for lecture demonstrations on the Manodharmam aspects in Carnatic music. Shri A.S Murali's talks about techniques to build Swara Kalpana. About us: SPICMACAY CMU is a chapter of the Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth. We organize concerts and student events for the benefit of the youth around Pittsburgh. We have hosted Pandit Yogesh Samsi, Sri Ganesh and Kumaresh, and Kalaimamani Smt Vid Ranjani and Vid Gayatri in the past. Pitt Sangeet is an organization consisting of students from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon dedicated to offering an outlet for students of all skill levels to perform Indian classical music, including but not limited to Carnatic and Hindustani music.
