Sleep in the Stone House — Sad Cello & Organ Music for Falling Asleep

Twenty-one slow pieces for cello and chamber organ, for sleeping inside two feet of stone. The house is cold and the walls still hold the last of the day's warmth. The cello carries every line low on its bottom string; a small chamber organ holds the ground underneath it and never takes the tune. There are embers going grey on the hearth, courses of masonry to count up the bedroom wall, and a road outside you can no longer hear. Nothing here swells, and nothing wakes you up.
