But what were musical toys like before the digital revolution? Let's dive even further back into history, to look at a toy harp made in Japan somewhere between the 1950's and 60's. The instrument was made by a company called FMT. It's a very basic lap harp, sometimes also called a zither. But it produces a surprisingly beautiful sound, given how cheaply it was made.
