The Traws Eryri is a 200km off-road route through the heart of Snowdonia. It's touted as a mountain bike route, which which made me wonder how much of a nightmare it might be on a gravel bike. Guess there's only one way to find out... Shot during the summer heatwave, watch out for heat and fire detours near the Rhinogs and Conwy sections. Join me as I take on off-road sections, steep climbs, and quite rocky descents on tyres that are way too skinny. Route Specs & Gear Setup: Distance: 200km / 125 Miles (~4,000m+ elevation) Start/Finish: Machynlleth to Conwy Castle, North Wales Days Taken: 3 Days Bike: Gravel Bike (with way too high gearing) Gpx/Route Info: Cycling UK's Traws Eryri Chapters: 00:00 - Intro & Machynlleth 00:37 - Day 1: Cadair Idris & Barmouth 07:25 - Coed y Brenin & The Rhinogs 08:54 - Day 2: Capel Curig & Penmachno 12:00 - Betws-y-Coed Bakery Drama 14:05 - Day 3: Ogwen Valley & Tryfan 17:36 - Conwy Finish & Verdict Likes are always welcome 👍 Comments are always answered ✍️ Subscriptions are always appreciated 🙌 If you'd like to support my next adventure, a coffee would be swell ☕️ https://ko-fi.com/jonnodoesstuff
