Line of Duty Death - Remembering Captain John Hager and the Marco Polo Fire

This video was created by South Metro Fire Rescue in 2009 for the 20th anniversary of Captain John Hager's line of duty death. Captain Hager was killed in a building fire at 5119 S. Yosemite Street in Greenwood Village, Colorado after the roof collapsed. Significant changes to command, communications, staffing, equipment and training occurred as a result of this fire. We will never forget the sacrifice that Captain Hager and his family made.
