Silent Shepherd: The Workings of Father John Goggin

Father John Goggin spent 55 years serving the community of San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala as a parish priest. Fr. John also played an essential role in the rebirth and redevelopment of the San Lucas Mission following the death of our co-founder Fr. Greg. In October of 2023, Fr. John passed away. Just a few months before, a journalist named Casey Ek, contracted by the Friends of San Lucas, had visited San Lucas to interview Fr. John about his life and ministry, with the goal of creating a film about Fr. John. Today, we're releasing the documentary, entitled "Silent Shepherd: The Workings of Father John Goggin." Many thanks to filmmaker Casey Ek, the interviewees, and everyone who made this documentary possible. To learn more about the Friends of San Lucas and the San Lucas Mission, visit sanlucasmission.org.
