We had a slight change of plans. Initially, our goal was to visit the Dolomites in northern Italy, but my wife had something else in mind. Since she’s absolutely crazy about shopping, she couldn’t resist stopping at The Mall luxury outlet park in Florence—home to the world’s largest Gucci outlet. When Florence came into the picture, I thought, why not go a little further and explore Rome too? So, off we went—driving to Rome for an overnight stay, then heading to Florence the next morning. On the way, we made a scenic stop at the stunning Saturnia Hot Springs.
