When I found out at the end the red key was optional, well, I just had to know what it did. So I stopped the recording and ran around the level almost at random for fifteen minutes or so until I found a switch I had missed that opened a door to a section where you can eventually get the red key through the wall if you ride a pointless elevator that doesn't go anywhere but just halfway up the wall. If I had paid more attention to the map maybe I'd have realized it was there, but it wasn't until the second time I got on it and rode it up that I accidentally picked up the key and figured it out. So I reloaded and recorded it with me knowing exactly where to go to avoid a bunch of time spent looking around. I can't say if it was worth the reward, but the sense of accomplishment from setting a goal and achieving it was satisfying. --- No-commentary playthrough of Evilution, the first half of Final Doom. I may have played this years and years ago but I don't remember any of it. A few times I deleted runs where I didn't save at all and dying meant restarting the level, I didn't include them since they essentially wasted a lot of time - usually I was between five and ten minutes in for these cases. If you're curious about the occasional presence of "TNT" it is actually part of the official expansion name - TNT: Evilution. TNT stands for "The New Technology", and is also the name of the group that created the maps, TeamTNT.
