Pastel Painting Tutorial - Let it Snow!

I have recently been enjoying combining Oil Paint with Soft Pastels. In this Real Time lesson you will learn how I apply a thin application of Oil Paint (what I call and "oil wash") as a loose underpainting prior to painting with soft pastels. The results are fresh and colorful. I have a previous lesson with the same technique, but I missed the footage of creating the "Oil Wash". In this lesson you will be able to see how the preliminary oil painting works beautifully on the pastel surface called, Pastelmat, and then you can immediately paint on the surface with pastels once dry. The drying time is quick due to my thin application of oil paint. So have fun combining these two wonderful mediums!
