The Role of Deacons in the Church | Acts 6 Explained | Servant Leadership & God’s Wisdom

In this sermon, Pastor Carl unpacks the powerful account in Acts 6, where the early church faced internal conflict over the care of widows. Instead of division, God used this challenge to establish the office of deacon—a role rooted in humility, wisdom, and Spirit-filled service. We’ll see how the apostles’ decision to appoint seven faithful men demonstrates God’s design for healthy church leadership, unity, and growth. This passage reminds us that every believer is called to serve with humility, following the ultimate example of Jesus Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. 📖 Key Takeaways: Deacons must be men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit, and full of wisdom. The church is central to a believer’s life and mission. Jesus is the ultimate servant, and our ministry should reflect His sacrificial love. Challenges within the church can become opportunities for growth and unity when handled with godly wisdom. 🙏 As you listen, consider how God is calling you to serve in your church and community. ➡️ Subscribe for more sermons and teachings that will help you grow in faith and live out God’s Word daily. #Acts6 #Deacons #ServantLeadership #BiblicalTeaching #ChurchLeadership #JesusChrist --- Welcome to Wiregrass Church Sunday Service!
