🍫 CAN YOU MEASURE THE SPEED OF LIGHT WITH CHOCOLATE?! ⚡ The speed of light is 299,792,458 metres per second. Obviously, the sensible way to measure something travelling THAT fast would involve lasers, highly sophisticated equipment and probably someone with a PhD. I'm using a microwave and a bar of chocolate. 🍫 What could possibly go wrong? In Episode 2 of Does It Actually Work?, I'm attempting to measure one of the fundamental constants of the universe using everyday kitchen equipment, some questionable experimental techniques and a frankly irresponsible attitude towards confectionery. The theory is surprisingly simple. The experiment? Well… you'll have to watch. 🔬 THE CHALLENGE: Can I get anywhere near the actual speed of light using nothing more sophisticated than a microwave, some chocolate and a calculator? And more importantly, will there be any chocolate left to eat? No fancy laboratories. No enormous budgets. Just real science, real experiments and the occasional spectacular miscalculation. 👍 If you enjoy curious experiments, slightly ridiculous engineering challenges and finding out whether things ACTUALLY work, hit subscribe. Next episode: Can I build a radio that doesn't need batteries, plugs or even electricity from the mains? 📻 #DoesItActuallyWork #SpeedOfLight #ScienceExperiment #MicrowaveExperiment #ChocolateScience #DIYScience #Engineering #STEM #ScienceYouTube
