Worth Everything

What would you be willing to give up for something truly valuable? In two short parables, Jesus compares the kingdom of heaven to a hidden treasure and a priceless pearl. Both men willingly give up everything they have because they recognize that what they've found is worth far more than what they're leaving behind. Following Jesus is costly. It means surrendering our plans, our priorities, and our desire to be in control. But it's also worth it, because in giving our lives to Him, we gain something of immeasurable value: life with Jesus. Ultimately, surrender isn't about earning God's love. It's about responding to the love of a Savior who gave everything for us. What is God calling you to surrender? And will you trust Him with it?
