O Death (One More Song) — Appalachian Folk Reimagined | Neural Creek

What if Death came to your door—and you answered with one last song? “O Death (One More Song)” reimagines the traditional Appalachian folk song as a bittersweet encounter between an old singer and a patient visitor. The traditional refrain remains, surrounded by new verses about meeting the inevitable with dignity, dry humour and one final tune. Not every song about Death has to sound like a funeral.
