“WE DON’T HAVE THE SOURCE CODE!” ICT Minister Raises Alarm Over Entebbe Expressway

Uganda’s Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Alioni Yorke Odria, has raised serious concerns over government’s access to the Kampala–Entebbe Expressway tolling system. During a parliamentary debate on the expressway’s management, Minister Odria highlighted concerns that government does not have the source code for the system developed and operated by Egis. He argued that limited access to the system could affect the ability of government and auditors to fully establish what is happening within the tolling platform.
