Isaac B. Cole — The Sweet Sound of Us (2026 Revisited) | Sessions on the Green®

Isaac B. Cole — The Sweet Sound of Us (2026 Revisited) | Sessions on the Green® The Sweet Sound of Us (2026 Revisited) is an intimate celebration of romance, tenderness and the extraordinary pleasure of being close to someone who makes everything feel right. Isaac B. Cole brings his unmistakably deep, velvety bass-baritone to a beautifully relaxed orchestral soul arrangement, where affection is expressed as much through melody and rhythm as through words. Inspired by the sophisticated orchestral R&B of the 1970s, the recording combines sweeping cinematic strings, warm Fender Rhodes piano, melodic electric bass, delicate rhythm guitar and expressive flugelhorn. A gently flowing groove gives the music an irresistible natural sway, while the spacious arrangement allows every instrument to contribute without overwhelming the voice. What makes this performance particularly distinctive is Isaac's playful, melodic scat singing. Moving effortlessly between whispered declarations of affection and richly expressive wordless phrases, his voice becomes another instrument within the orchestra. The jazz-inflected character of the accompaniment gives these passages a wonderfully spontaneous, conversational quality. There is no complicated story here, only the pleasure of intimacy, attraction and belonging. Romantic without being sentimental, sensual without being excessive, The Sweet Sound of Us invites listeners to surrender to its warmth, its gentle rhythm and the simple beauty of two hearts finding their own private language.
