“Keep himself UNSPOTTED from the world.” James 1:27 (KJV) This song sprang from reading those words in James while writing his testimony. I asked myself, “What does it really mean to keep ourselves UNSPOTTED in a world constantly telling us what to follow, watch, wear and even what we believe?” The trends change. The influencers change. What goes viral today is forgotten tomorrow. But Jesus is the real Influencer (as one of my new students pointed out the other day). Jesus is the trend that never goes out of fashion. Never fades. Never changes. And then there’s the TikTok… TikTok… Because time is moving, and Jesus is coming back for a glorious Church “not having SPOT, or wrinkle, or any such thing… holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:27. This song brings together holiness, humour, social media, faith in action and that cheeky question: SPOTTY? SPOTTY? NO SAH! Not pon mi! 😂 After a month of songs, SPOTTY is the final one… for now.
