I’d Played This Organ Before… But NEVER Found This Stop!

Having played this organ several times recently, I thought a full Organic Visitation was long overdue! I did make a short video of the organ several years ago, back in the early days of the channel, but I’d never given it the full Organic Visitations treatment. So here it is — properly explored at last! And this time, I even discovered a hidden stop I’d never spotted before! The organ at Holy Trinity Church, Darlington was built in 1868 by T. H. Harrison, who later went on to establish the world-famous Harrison & Harrison organ-building firm of Durham. The instrument has seen various alterations and other work over its long history, details of which can be found on the National Pipe Organ Register (NPOR) using the link below.
