This is how I colour with ballpoints sped up 10 times! 😉❤️
Daily drawing tip 258 - keep a testing space!
Don't cut off the excess paper before your artwork is finished! 😅 That little paper space is a life-saver or art-saver, because it's so easy to get confused and apply the wrong colour! And different papers make colours look different too, so it's import to have them be of the same paper type. 😹❤️
I want to write something more, but nothing profound comes to mind...
Oh, right, speaking of Languo ballpoints. They run out really fast, so... it's a gimmick tool that will likely run out before you get bored of it, which is... I mean, it's both good and bad.
Thinking about ecology... I likely wouldn't get them a second time, and you can really get the same effect with colored pencils too if you sharpen them well, so they make these fine strokes. If you don't have ballpoints already and want to get a similar effect, just use colored pencils. 🥰❤️
My top recommendation for colored pencils for colouring is... unsurprisingly, Faber Castell Polychromos (and not the 120 or 140 set, but the 102 set of top lightfast ones). You can't go wrong with them, they are by far the most versatile pencils I've tried, keep a sharp point well (which matters a lot in colouring), give you plenty of pigment, and serve a very long time. I've used them side to side with budget options (like Kalour expert, which many say are the same pencil as Castle Arts Gold, just white labeling thing) - and for the same result, you need to sharpen the budget one like 5 times. They melt away in comparison. So the price is deceptive. And you get top lightfastness in FC Polychromos case too, so I'd say...
For what you get, FC Polychromos are actually cheaper. 🤣 You'd know if you used them side to side! (and I'm not sponsored by them, obviously, that's a conclusion I made after using them)
(Still, if you are new to this, try the 12-set before committing. 😤 Some mysterious people do hate Polychromos, they are rare beasts, but you never know, you might be one.)
And don't get me wrong, I love Luminance, but I love them for making art, sketching, rough expressive colouring, that stuff, but they are not the best for colouring pages or colouring books, they are not as tame and obedient as FC Polychromos.
Yep, hopefully I've said enough helpful things, so...
Have the most wonderful day or night, love! 🥰❤️ You got this! 🫂🤗❤️
