Vital Signs — Aisay Hum Je'yain (1990)

This project presents the restoration of a rare 1990 version of an iconic rock track that survived only through degraded VHS recordings (   • Aisay Hum Jiyain ~ Vital Signs (Air force ...  ). No official studio-quality master exists, and the available copies contained heavy hiss, hum, background noise, and weak audio levels. Through careful restoration, the track has been cleaned, balanced, and enhanced to improve clarity and stereo presence. These improvements allow listeners to experience the recording closer to its originally intended sound. The recording features original guitarist Salman Ahmed, marking his final contribution before the band’s lineup later changed. Compared with the later 1991 version, this mix highlights a heavier snare, stronger guitar distortion, and louder harmony vocals, creating a rawer and fuller rock character. One demanding challenge involved removing aircraft noise captured during the original video production. Overall, this restoration preserves an important piece of rock history and revives aging material for modern audiences and collectors alike today.
