Getting My Finances in Order Before the Winter Blues Hit

Beloved, I know the winter blues can make it harder for me to keep up with the details of everyday life. So while I have the energy, I’m taking a close look at our finances and making a plan I can follow later. In this video, I share three things I’m working on: checking subscriptions and services we may no longer need, setting money aside for the December celebrations that matter to us, and returning to an envelope-style spending system. We’re also putting the credit cards up for a season as we work on living within our means. We’ve automated a lot already, but lifestyle creep has been a real challenge for us. I’m sharing where we are and what we’re changing—not pretending we have it all figured out.
