Jam Pedals Eureka Fuzz

The Eureka is supposed to be a cross between a Fuzz Face and a Big Muff – the Big Muff portion made me shy away from it for some time, because Big-Muff-style Pedals are my arch enemies. In this case, the Eureka is a notable exception for me, because it's gain range between 7 and 3 o'clock sounds more like a tight/midrangey Fuzz Face. With the gain knob at max, you get the Big Muff sound. Volume clean-up is good – you won't get sparkly Fuzz Face cleans, but a creamy sound, that reminds me of old Orange Amps. The little switch adds bass and in the right position also a gated effect. Not my favourite sound, because my White Atom Fuzz does this sputtery thing more musically. It's not finicky about buffers – you can place it anywhere in your pedalchain. The Eureka (at least my pedal) is noisy. But hey, it's a Fuzz and a good one. Luvin' the Duck. Yeah.
